Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA)
If you are a local or international art lover, then the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) Brisbane should be at the top of your list of must-see destinations. Located in the South Bank Cultural Precinct of Brisbane, the Gallery of Modern Art celebrates contemporary art from the Australian and Asia Pacific region alongside world-class exhibitions that have showcased some of Picasso and Andy Warhol’s masterpieces.
GOMA officially opened its doors in 2006, and forms part of Queensland’s Culture Centre, making it the second-largest art gallery building in Queensland and the largest gallery of modern and contemporary art in Australia.
Bring the children along to explore QAGOMA’S Children Art Centre, which works with artists from around Australia - and the world - to create fun and creative games, videos, and make-at-home activities for the kids.
